Director: Michele Babich Coordinator: Dr. Donna Buna Contact: Dr. Donna Buna RESIDENCY PROGRAM Type: General Benefits: medical, dental Vacation/holiday leave: 2 weeks paid Education/conference leave: 1 week Program highlights: General residency program designed to provide the resident with a comprehensive knowledge of hospital pharmacy practice. Emphasis of the program is to prepare for independent clinical practice in the institutional setting. Required Rotations: Drug distribution/IV adds – 5 weeks Elective Rotations: Approximately 8 weeks, please contact residency coordinator for information. 2008 – Renal (4 weeks), Psychiatry (4 weeks), Cardiology (4 weeks), Perinatology (4 weeks), Home and Community Care (4 weeks) Minimum required credentials: B.Sc Pharmacy, Licensure in BC an asset Type: The Vancouver Island health Authority (VIHA) is one of the largest health organizations in Canada. The Pharmacy Practice Residency Program is primarily run from the South Island, which comprises the greater Victoria area including communities up to Mill Bay. All major medical services other than transplantation are provided.
