Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board - First Virtual Survey

Just like those of the CSHP office, the activities of the Canadian Pharmacy Residency Board (CPRB) were significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  With restrictions on travel and gatherings, CPRB postponed the Accreditation surveys they had planned for Spring 2020.  CPRB has transitioned to virtual surveys to ensure the continuation of the accreditation process.  The first virtual accreditation survey was conducted at St. Michael’s Hospital, part of Unity Health Toronto.

The surveyors found the process to be effective, and they were able to obtain all the information they required for the survey.  The site found that the visit was thorough and that they were fully evaluated.  The virtual survey process is continually being assessed and modified to ensure it meets the needs of all parties.

Accreditation surveys will be conducted virtually until further notice.  CPRB looks forward to the time when in-person surveys may be reinstituted.
