SUrvey of natural health Product PoLiciEs in Canadian hospital inpatient pharMacy dEpartmeNTs (SUPPLEMENT) Study

This 10 minute survey is being conducted as part of an Alberta Health Services pharmacy residency research project to evaluate Canadian pharmacy department policies on inpatient non-formulary Natural Health Product (NHP) use. The target audience is hospital pharmacists familiar with the policy framework in their health region or institution. Further details about the project are available in English and French (please select your preferred language). If you do not have an NHP policy at your institution or within your health region, you are still encouraged to complete the survey because the primary study objective is to determine the prevalence of policies in hospital pharmacy departments across Canada. The survey is open until April 30, 2019, 23:59 MST

Feedback will be used to determine the prevalence of pharmacy department policies on non-formulary NHP use by inpatients in Canada. The Study Investigators hope to highlight opportunities for implementation and/or further development of Canadian inpatient pharmacy department NHP policies. This study has been granted ethics approval by the REB 3: Health Research Ethics Board – Health Panel at the University of Alberta (Pro00084284).
